Famous rapper and avid basketball fan Drake is looking to build an NBA-sized court in his home in Toronto, as reported by TMZ. Devin Ch of Hot Net Whip Hop also wrote about the rapper's own basketball court.

Drake is outfitting his new Toronto-area mansion with an NBA-sized basketball court. The move makes his home that much more amenable to his friends in the league. Let's put that in perspective: Drake has 15,000 square feet to disseminate in his basement alone. An NBA basketball court only requires 4,700 square feet of surface area, less than one/third of the distributable space.”

With that much space in his basement, Drake can actually turn the court into a full-fledged gymnasium, complete with all kinds of indoor equipment. He could even add arena seats and benches to the mix and hold his own basketball tournaments inside his house.

Drake has been a very dedicated supporter of the Toronto Raptors and his partnership with the team has been very influential for the players and the fans. Masai Ujiri, president of the Raptors basketball organization, has been very thankful of how Drake has extended his support for the team and the city.

“Over the past four years, the Raptors’ relationship with Drake has always ultimately been about celebrating this city and the people that make it unique.”

“We’re looking forward to this opportunity to continue working together to inspire and support young people, to showcase this great city around the world and to grow the game of basketball.”

The rapper will have more reasons to cheer for his hometown team this upcoming season. With the arrival of Kawhi Leonard, the revamped Raptors will aim to beat out perennial favorites Boston Celtics and Philadephia 76ers for the eastern conference crown.
