NBA legend Dwyane Wade believes his pal, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James, is still the best player in the world. However, the Miami Heat icon thinks Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo will repeat as MVP in 2020.

Just like last season, Giannis and the Bucks have the best record in the NBA. While LeBron and the Lakers have the top record in the West, Antetokounmpo's second-best player is Khris Middleton, while James is playing with Anthony Davis, who leads the Lakers in 13 statistical categories.

The NBA Awards will be based on the games that were played before the work stoppage in March. Antetokounmpo was averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the Bucks prior to the season getting suspended. He was also shooting 54.7 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line.

James, meanwhile, was putting up 25.7 points, 7.9 boards and 10.6 assists while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line. NBA fans are praying that the Bucks and Lakers meet in the 2020 Finals so we can see The King and The Greek Freak go at it on the NBA's biggest stage.

If Giannis wins MVP again, he'll become the first player since Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry to win back-to-back MVP awards. Curry won MVP in 2015 and 2016.
