Chris Paul has been on the receiving end of so much praise as of late for his tremendous role in ensuring that NBA players continue to be abreast and active in the fight for social justice in the nation. For his part, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade could not help but send a shoutout to his good buddy.

Wade took to Twitter to make his bold statement about voting for CP3 should he run for president:

Dwyane Wade is not speaking out an extension to Chris Paul's NBPA tenure here. The recently retired future Hall of Famer is actually referring to Paul's potential to run as the President of the United States of America.

We're not sure how serious Wade was with his claim above, and for all we know, he may have just been kidding around. Then again, with how impressive Paul has been with what he's done for the NBA and the players thus far, it would not be surprising if Wade was actually half serious with his claim.

Paul remains to be an excellent NBA player, too. On Wednesday, he led the Thunder to a blowout victory against the Los Angeles Lakers, who recently clinched the top spot in the West. Paul finished with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, along with seven boards and six assists in 31 minutes of action.

At 35 years of age, Paul is no spring chicken. However, he has quashed any and all doubts this NBA season as to whether or not he can still play at an elite level.
