Since launching on Feb. 18, 2016; The Jump has been one of ESPN's most successful shows and because of the success, it will be going from a half-hour show to a full hour show on Mar. 12.

Rachel Nichols is the host of the show, and she has a variety of guests each day that talk about anything from politics to sports, but most of the show is focused on basketball.

According to Ryan Glasspiegel of TheBigLead:

“The Jump has really hit its stride, and does a great job of managing real basketball discussion with the general absurdities now inherent in the daily NBA conversation. Their three-hour trade deadline special averaged 603k viewers, which was up 31% over the two-hour show last year, and was the most watched episode in the program’s history.”

That isn't the only change that ESPN announced today. ESPN Countdown will be moving its studio from Los Angeles to New York.

It will be filmed for the next few weeks in Bristol, Connecticut while the set is built in New York, but once it's built it will be making a permanent move to the Big Apple.

Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose will continue to be the hosts of Countdown with Chauncey Billups and Paul Pierce continuing to be regular guests on the show.

All these changes with The Jump and Countdown look like they will be profitable changes for the television network, as well as upgrades for fans of the basketball coverage on ESPN, getting to enjoy more of what they've proved to enjoy the most.
