Former NBA star Nate Robinson is still reeling from the huge blow he got over the weekend after he ended his debut in the boxing ring virtually laying unconscious on the canvas. Robinson got the worst of the hands of YouTuber Jake Paul and was knocked out in the second round of their eight-round bout.

Though a lot of NBA and boxing fans roasted the former three-time Slam Dunk champion on social media after the match, there have been a few who have offered the 36-year old some uplifting words. That included Agent Zero himself, Gilbert Arenas.

Arenas got behind the former point guard and went all-out in praising Robinson for even having the guts to step up and take the fight.

“You went out there, you got knocked out and became and instant [sic] meme NOW get back in the lab. That a** whooping was no different then the first time you had to guard Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Baron Davis and me. We beat that a** and that didn't stop you from putting on that jersey.” Arenas posted on his Instagram account.

As incredible as an athlete Robinson is, it seemed that boxing isn't in his arsenal just yet. At least based on Saturday evening KO. The 23-year old Paul (2-0) exploited his reach and height advantage against Robinson. He landed just eight punches in total with three of those knocking Robinson down.

Arenas though believes that Nate Robinson has what it takes to run it back with Paul and come back even stronger.

“You said you were doing this for all the hoopers then you should know a real hooper bounces back.” Arenas added. “Jake Paul, run that sh*t back. Nate had to get that first nut out the way.”
