Former NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis agreed to pay a $15,000 fine to avoid jail time on drug charges, according to The Associated Press. The $15,000 is the maximum fine to have his case dismissed.

Davis was reportedly facing up to five years in jail after he was arrested at the Hampton Inn in Aberdeen, Maryland with 126 grams (4 ounces) of marijuana and a briefcase containing $92,000 on Feb. 7, 2018

The 6-foot-9 big man was indicted on seven counts of drug possession and distribution.

His attorney, Brandon Mead; partner at the Baltimore-based Mead Law firm said prosecutors are willing to dismiss the charges after his client pays the fine, calling it a “reasonable resolution to the matter.”

“There was nothing to indicate in this case that he was selling drugs at any time,” said Mead.

The 33-year-old Davis hasn’t played at the NBA level since 2015 after stints with the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and the L.A. Clippers after starring at Louisiana State University during his college career.

Davis was also charged with felony assault during an April 2018 altercation outside a West Hollywood, California club — making this only one of the many run-ins with the law since finishing his playing career in the league.
