The NBA is going to look quite a bit different in the 2019-20 campaign, as several notable players decided to change teams this offseason. The action isn’t going to stop there, though, according to one anonymous general manager.

In a recent interview with Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, one general manager claimed that the NBA’s trade season, which culminates in February, will be just as active as this offseason has been:

“We’ve been getting calls all summer,” the general manager said. “There are a lot of things we are considering. The dust settles a little, you’re aware of your weaknesses and your holes and so you find ways to address that. I think we’re going to see more of that than usual. I think if you look at the market, there is going to be a very brisk trade market this winter for a few reasons.”

In the past, one or two marquees players might have changed teams. This offseason has been different, however. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have joined forces with the Brooklyn Nets. Anthony Davis will be playing alongside LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers. And Kawhi Leonard, who won the 2019 NBA championship with the Raptors, has decided to suit up for the LA Clippers along with Paul George.

It’s not clear what sort of additional trades will be made throughout the coming season, but this anonymous GM seems to think the phone lines will be hot.
