As news broke that Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz had tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlanta Hawks were locked in a lengthy overtime battle against the New York Knicks.

While the game was going on, it was announced that the NBA would suspend its season because of that news. The Hawks, however, continued to play and Vince Carter drilled a deep triple late in the game in what might possibly be the last bucket of his illustrious career.

Vince Carter broke the longevity record this season by suiting up for his 22nd season, a stunning achievement that saw the 43-year-old play games in a stunning four different decades (90s, 00s, 10s and 20s) and pile up the 19th-most points in NBA history with 25,723 heading into Wednesday's game.

An eight-time All-Star and 1998-99 Rookie of the Year, it was good to see Vinsanity get his team’s final bucket on an extremely odd evening of NBA action. If this was his last moment in the NBA, at least he made it memorable.
