NBA free agent Isaiah Thomas has never shied away from posting his thoughts on social media about a wide range of topics. Of course, that includes the US presidential election.

There's a flurry of emotions flying around at the moment with the pending results of the polls. President Donald Trump has taken the last few days to prolong what seems to be an inevitable defeat to his rival candidate Joe Biden, opting to pursue legal routes in an attempt to possibly throw the election.

Thomas chimed in on Twitter and had a hilarious analogy on Trump's latest tantrum.

When he's not busy tweeting about wanting to make his NBA comeback, the two-time All-Star has been poking fun of Trump's frequent meltdowns, the latest of which is his efforts to seemingly invalidate mail-in ballots, which he has strongly opposed throughout his campaign.

Trump has indeed stirred a bit of confusion since election day, often contradicting himself as the remaining swing states such as Atlanta and Pennsylvania continue to count votes. One minute, he's pressuring people to count the votes. But when the numbers aren't advantageous to him, he's shouting election fraud.

Aside from Thomas, other NBA players such as New Orleans Pelicans wingman Josh Hart have also voiced their displeasure with Trump. It's unfathomable to some people how Trump was still able to get many votes and win several key states.

Even so, the hopeful president re-elect remains unpleased, as he left his news conference on Friday without taking any questions, prompting one reporter to pose a rather hilarious question, echoing Thomas' sentiments.

As Isaiah Thomas said, Trump took the ball and left the gym.
