After his brief stint with the Chicago Bulls, forward JaKarr Sampson is returning to China. Per Keith Smith, Sampson will be playing for Shandong. This will be his second stint in China as he spent some time there in the 2018-2019 season.

Sampson, 26, entered the NBA in 2014 as an undrafted prospect. In his tenure with the NBA, the St. John's product jumped from team to team. He has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, and the Bulls. He also spent some time in the G League.

Last year, he played a mere four games for the Bulls where he averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds across 31.8 minutes per game. He also shot 53.7 percent from the field and 81 percent from the free throw line.

His career night came late in the season in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers where he scored a career-high 29 points (15 in the second quarter alone), along with eight rebounds, two blocks, and one assist. After his big game, he shared had nothing but gratitude towards head coach Jim Boylen. Per the Associated Press via ESPN, Sampson said:

“It's big time,” said Sampson, signed to a 10-day contract on Sunday. “I'm thankful for the opportunity (coach Jim Boylen has) given me to play big-time minutes in the NBA. It's not often it happens. I've just got to take advantage of my opportunity.”

Now, Sampson will continue his basketball journey back in China. Indeed, wherever Sampson goes, he'll be just fine.
