Former NBA guard and current ESPN analyst Jalen Rose is sticking up for Carmelo Anthony.

Rose believes Carmelo Anthony “deserves” to be in the NBA and is being white balled from the league by executives.

“He deserves to be in the NBA,” Rose said. “For all that he's accomplished, for what he can still bring to the table, I feel like he's being white balled from the league.”

Carmelo Anthony played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets last season before the franchise exiled and traded him to the Chicago Bulls in January. The 10-time All-Star averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Carmelo Anthony’s future in the NBA is very uncertain, as we are in September and Melo is still on the open market. Brooklyn Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are reportedly pushing the front office in Brooklyn to sign Anthony in the wake of small forward Wilson Chandler's suspension. Chandler will miss the first 25 games of the 2019-20 season due to a PED suspension.

Carmelo Anthony worked out with Nets players in Los Angeles in August during informal workouts. Hopefully, Anthony gets another shot in the NBA because it would be unfortunate to see a future Hall of Famer end his career like this.
