Despite 57 points from Donovan Mitchell, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Utah Jazz in Game 1 of their first-round series behind Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.

Jamal Murray scored 36 points and hit clutch shots in the fourth quarter and overtime. Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, poured in 29 points and 10 rebounds.

The Nuggets' duo put the Jazz away in overtime.

The Nuggets had zero answers for Donovan Mitchell, who was three points shy of 60. Denver, though, outscored Utah 20-10 in overtime and sealed the game.

This was a fantastic start to the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Murray and Mitchell showed the NBA is in good hands moving forward. The young talent we have in our league is spectacular.

Game 2 of this series will be on Wednesday. The Jazz will look to even up the series, while the Nuggets will look to take a 2-0 lead. Neither team will have to travel since all the games are at the Walt Disney bubble.
