Former NBA point guard and current ESPN analyst Jay Williams REALLY misses basketball.

How much you ask? Well, Williams is proposing an insane idea which involves cruise ships. Take a listen:

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season following Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test. Owners want to at least play the 2020 postseason in its entirety since the playoffs are where the league makes most of its revenue.

While we appreciate Jay Williams' out of the box idea here, it's highly doubtful this would ever happen. The NBA needs the coronavirus to die down and the CDC to clear games before basketball fans can watch games again.

The CDC is currently recommending no large events of 50 or more people until the middle of May.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended, the Milwaukee Bucks had the best record in the NBA for the second straight season. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers were atop the Western Conference standings. Basketball fans were hoping for the Bucks and Lakers to meet in the 2020 NBA Finals.

After all, who wouldn't want to watch a seven-game series with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Giannis Antetokounmpo playing.

No one knows if the NBA is going to resume play in the summer. With the way this virus is spreading and cities going on lockdown, the odds as of now of the 2019-20 season getting resumed aren't too high.
