There's no denying that Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Phoenix Suns stud Devin Booker are two of the fastest rising young stars in the NBA today. Tatum and Booker were pitted against each other in a recent Twitter poll asking who the more skilled scorer is among the two.

Booker caught wind of the survey and quickly reacted by sending praise toward the direction of Tatum:

For his part, Tatum came across Booker's remark, and responded with an equally respectful complement toward the Suns star:

So much for getting their beef on. These two NBA stars obviously have no intention to fuel the flame, and were more inclined to let the fans do the talking. We're willing to bet, though, that both guys browsed through the comments sections for a few minutes (or more?) just to see what the experts on the mean streets of Twitter had to say.

For the record, as far as scoring goes, the numbers say that Booker has the edge over Tatum. The Suns shooting guard is averaging 26.1 points this season on a career-best 48.7 percent shooting mark, along with 2.0 triples per contest this season. On the other hand, Tatum is scoring 23.6 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting, with 2.8 3-pointers per game.

The raw numbers give the advantage to Booker, but there are a ton of factors that come into play here. What is clear is that both guys are exceptional talents with bright futures ahead of them in the NBA.
