Jeremy Lin has always been considered a lightning in a bottle success story. The Harvard grad come out of nowhere and took the NBA world by storm for a handful of weeks that captivated an entire generation of fans. But towards the latter half of his career, he's honestly had some tough luck when it came too issues off the court.

Jeremy Lin's latest battle isn't one against an on-court foe, nor is it injuries. The 9-year NBA veteran tested positive for COVID-19 on just his third day in China as he gears up to play for the Chinese Basketball Association.

Lin, who revealed that he is thankful to be fully vaccinated, opened up about his battle with COVID-19 on his social media platforms.

“Somehow, despite being vaccinated and having tested negative prior to departure twice, testing negative upon arrival and being really careful during travel, I tested positive for coronavirus during day three of my quarantine,” said Lin.

“My case is mild but it hasn't been a cakewalk and I can't imagine what it'd be like if I weren't vaccinated. Mentally, it's a struggle to feel sick while being away from home and to be patient with my circumstances. Still, I'm immensely grateful for the care that I'm gettin in Shanghai.”

Lin also urged others to get vaccinated as his credits his relatively uncomplicated recovery with getting vaxxed.

“For those still unsure, PLEASE PLEASE go and get vaccinated! There are sooo many people around the world that would love to be vaccinated and it could be the difference between mild symptoms and something a lot worse.”
