NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler was with Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade in Paris when the Chicago Bulls traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves back in the summer of 2017.
Butler, Wade and Anthony were playing spades with Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union. It was Butler and Anthony versus Wade and Gabby.
During the game, Butler got a call from his agent telling him he was getting traded and that he had a trade kicker worth around $1 million, maybe more. Butler's agent told the All-Star small forward to spend that NBA trade kicker money.
So, Butler, Wade and Anthony went to Jimmy's favorite restaurant in Paris. The three NBA superstars went to the wine cellar and started drinking (starts at 9:50):

Because of Instagram, everyone pretty much knew Jimmy Butler was in Paris with Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade at the time of his trade. However, this tidbit about Butler's trade kicker and how it was spent is a new treat for NBA fans.
The Bulls traded Butler to the Timberwolves on draft night in 2017. Butler led the Timberwolves to the NBA playoffs in 2017-18. However, he requested a trade before the 2018-19 started and eventually got shipped to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Jimmy Butler is now on the Miami Heat, where he appears to have found a home after rough stops in Chicago, Minnesota and Philly.
