New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick blasted United States president Donald Trump for showing off the supposedly packed crowd at his electoral campaign on Saturday. The veteran NBA sharpshooter dared Trump to show the entire arena, adding that LeBron James had even more fans attending his high school games than Trump's campaign.

Is the coronavirus gone, though?

Election season in the United States is in full swing. Trump held his first electoral rally in months in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Obviously, as seen in the picture, they did not practice social distancing at the event. Not a lot of people were wearing masks either.

JJ Redick has been one of the more vocal critics of President Trump. The POTUS has caught the ire of several other NBA personalities such as Redick, LeBron James, Steve Kerr and Greg Popovich for the way he has handled the issues America has been facing over the past months.

The COVID-19 response wasn't swift, and this has led to the United States being the most infected country in the entire world. Moreover, he also drew a ton of criticisms over his statements and actions in response to the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests all over the country.

Despite the NBA officially making a decision, the league is currently at a standstill regarding continuing the 2019-20 season. Some players, led by Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving, are not at peace with the resumption of the season due to the current BLM movement in the United States.

However, other NBA players, such as LeBron James, believe that continuing the season shouldn't impede their ability to use their voice and platform in addressing social issues.
