Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid observed that Brooklyn Nets guards perform exceptionally well against them after Spencer Dinwiddie exploded for a career-high 39 points.

Per Serena Winters of NBC Sports Philly:

The win extends the Nets' streak to three games. Though they hold an 11-18 record, per Anthony Puccio of SB Nation, they have outlasted two of the top three teams in the league:

Much of their success can be credited to Dinwiddie, who's averaging 16.1 points and 4.9 assists per game. And in their win Wednesday over the Sixers, Dinwiddie was 4-of-6 from downtown and shot 61.1 percent from the field. He was also 13-of-14 from the free-throw line.

Dinwiddie took advantage of the absence of Jimmy Butler — perhaps the Sixers' best perimeter defender, as he's out nursing a groin injury. Joel Embiid had a monster double-double with 33 points and 17 rebounds, while Ben Simmons had 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. But this wasn't enough to beat the Nets.

Simmons also observed that they always have a difficult time when they play the Nets. Per Gadiel Notelovitz of FOX Sports:

“I think it’s just communication on our end,” Simmons said postgame.

“We just need to communicate more when we play this team. It’s been the same thing every time we play them.”

The Sixers will end their three-game home stand Friday when they face the Indiana Pacers. The Nets, meanwhile, will start a three-game home stretch Friday as they face the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Lakers.
