Ex-NBA player Jonas Jerebko has found a new home, signing a two-year deal to join Khimki Moscow of the EuroLeague.

After spending 10 seasons in the NBA (he missed one full season due to injury), Jerebko decided to take his talents back overseas. The Swedish forward is proud of the decision he made, citing how progressive the game of basketball is in the EuroLeague, and even claiming “a lot” of teams there can beat some NBA teams (via Eurohoops.net):

“I feel good. It’s getting better and better every year and the EuroLeague is getting better. I think a lot of EuroLeague teams can beat some of the NBA teams. I think my game is gonna translate well. I can shoot, I can pass, rebound, I’m just trying to make my team win.”

In recent years, plenty of EuroLeague players have made their way to the NBA, which is a testament to how good the players are over in Europe. Jerebko isn't disrespecting the NBA in any way; he just feels the EuroLeague is closing the gap when it comes to the competition.

Jerebko played for the Golden State Warriors last season, averaging 6.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 73 games. Unfortunately for him, the Dubs lost to the Toronto Raptors in the Finals, so he wasn't able to win what would have been his first NBA championship.

At 32 years old, it is likely Jerebko will finish his career in the EuroLeague.
