NBA journeyman Jordan Crawford made a name for himself before he played his first-ever NBA game. Ten years ago, in a basketball camp hosted by LeBron James for up-and-coming prospects, Crawford infamously flushed one down over LeBron during a random pickup game in what was easily one of the most memorable moments of his career.

Fortunately for the 30-year-old combo guard, this career-defining moment was captured on film:

Ryan Jones of Uproxx recently sat down with Crawford to discuss this see-it-to-believe-it moment, and the former Xavier University standout could not help but bring up the matter of the money Nike owes him for successfully dunking on LeBron:

Crawford admits to some curiosity about the fate of that original video, but it’s not the only trophy from that night that he’d like to claim. He remembers Nike reps joking with the college players before the game about a $500 bounty for anyone who could manage to dunk on the camp’s namesake.

Crawford laughs as he delivers the punchline: “They never gave me my $500.”

Despite how James was obviously playing at half-speed during that fateful evening, Crawford's jam was indeed pretty clean. He did put LeBron on a poster, and if what he is saying is true, then Nike ought to give the man what he is due. This went down 10 years ago, so including compounded interest, Crawford should be expecting a check amounting to somewhere in the region of $50 million — a rightful bounty for getting one over The King.
