How would you like to have one of the championship nets that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar cut down while he was at UCLA? Maybe a game used Milwaukee Bucks jersey is more your speed. Perhaps a Los Angeles Lakers championship ring is something you've had your eye on.

Well, all of these will put up for auction by Abdul-Jabbar. Don't worry. It's not because he's in trouble with money. He simply just doesn't have enough space for all of his memorabilia from his playing days.

“It's not hard to sell this stuff,” Abdul-Jabbar told Darren Rovell of ESPN on Thursday. “I mean it's valuable, but I'm not a museum. If I kept all this stuff, it would take up half my house.”

The memorabilia are considered priceless, but Abdul-Jabbar expects most of the items to sell for six figures. That's a nice chunk of change for an old sweaty jersey.

Kareem is about to cash in on these memorabilia, but they were very nearly lost forever according to Abdul-Jabbar.

“It's fortunate we still have that. We had a fire at my house in 1983 and luckily all that stuff was with my mother in Brooklyn.”
