NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar says if he played in today's NBA, he'd “want to be Anthony Davis.”

That's high praise for Davis considering Abdul-Jabbar is one of the best players in league history and has scored the most points ever.

Kareem says Anthony Davis is a complete player.

“If I were playing now, I would want to be Anthony Davis,” Kareem told Sean Deveney of Sporting News. “He’s got the skill set. He shoots 3s and jump shots. He defends out there, beyond the 3-point line, and he also plays the traditional game like I did which is to say, he rebounds and guards the basket.

“He is the complete player.”

Anthony Davis can pretty much do it all. He can score from the post, mid-range and 3-point line.

Add to the fact that he's a monster on defense, and it's easy to see why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is such a big fan of The Brow.

Davis' 2018-19 season has been hectic. The All-Star big man requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans opted not to trade AD at the February trade deadline. The second half of the season has been very awkward for Davis and the Pelicans.

AD is putting up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on the season.

He's shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from beyond the arc.
