Kevin Durant and Kendrick Perkins have quite the history. The two former NBA teammates have been beefing and exchanging heated words on social media over the past few weeks.

Interestingly, when asked to choose between the Brooklyn Nets star and Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard, Perkins still gave the nod to KD. In fact, he even labeled him as the “greatest scorer in NBA history.”

Durant and Perkins share quite a bittersweet relationship. The two were teammates with the Oklahoma City Thunder for a couple of seasons and obviously created a strong bond with each other.

However, Perkins, now an ESPN TV analyst, criticized Durant for his move to the Golden State Warriors in 2016. That obviously didn't sit well with Durant, and he made his feelings known by answering back at his former teammate on social media. The two have been exchanging harsh words towards each other since then.

Durant is undoubtedly in the discussion with the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in terms of greatest scorers in NBA history. For Perk, despite the beef, he'll put the 2013-14 MVP above everyone else on the field — including Jordan and Bryant.

Perkins certainly has a valid argument with this bold claim. Durant, officially listed at 6-foot-10, can pretty much score from anywhere on the floor. Like Mike and Kobe, KD can score on the post and is a deadly shooter from the mid-range. His lengthy frame and great ball handling ability also allows him to drive to the basket with ease. Moreover, what separates Durant from Jordan and Bryant is that he is a much better 3-point shooter than the two NBA all-time scorers.

Perhaps that's the reason why Kendrick Perkins hails Kevin Durant as the greatest NBA scorer ever.
