Kendrick Perkins is one of the more recognizable NBA analysts these days. He loves to give hot takes as much as he loves engaging with his fans on social media. But of course, he also has his fair share of haters, and he doesn’t hold back on them as well.

One meme called the 35-year-old Perkins the second-worst NBA analyst, while also taking shots at his former teammates with the 2008 Boston Celtics.

Perkins, who during his playing days smiled as often as humans landed on the moon, didn’t appreciate the slight and fired back on Instagram. He said his comments about this year’s NBA Playoffs have been close to perfect.

To his credit, Kendrick Perkins was one of the very few observers who predicted the Miami Heat will upset the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, saying Giannis Antetokounmpo was scared of the boys from South Beach. He also said the Philadelphia 76ers won’t go far in the postseason and that the Denver Nuggets will pose a lot of problems for the Los Angeles Clippers. Both were also proven to be accurate.

But the one-time NBA champion also has his fair share of blunders in the past. Perhaps the most memorable recently is when he said Michael Jordan wasn’t competing for a title at 35 years old, when in fact MJ literally won a championship with the Chicago Bulls at that age.

As expected, Perkins’ clap back on Instagram got even more blowback from his haters. But it looks like he won’t be zipping his lip anytime soon.

Last year, amid all the heat he was getting in his first few weeks as ESPN analyst, he said he doesn’t care what others think and defended his credentials.
