Retired NBA player-turned-ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has been very active on social media these days. From calling out underperforming players and teams to sharing his inputs about anything happening in the organization, the one-time NBA champion has amassed quite a following with his candid brand of commentary.

Big Perk took a break from his usual hard-hitting stuff and shared a lighthearted highlight clip of his son competing against fellow second-graders.

The proud father took to Twitter and introduced his eight-year-old son Kenxton Perkins A.K.A “Stone,” who looked pretty impressive in the 45-second video.

“Any Second Grader want this smoke?! 8 year old Kenxton Perkins but we call him “Stone”!!!,” Perkins captioned the clip, adding the hashtag #BeastMode.

Much like his father, the young Perkins looked bigger than the rest of the competition, as he bullied his way to the paint for easy buckets. It seems that Kenxton also inherited his old man's menacing swagger on the court, pumping his chest and putting on his best mean mug after connecting on a coast-to-coast lay-up.

Kendrick Perkins, meanwhile, was by no means a polished offensive player during his playing days in the NBA, but he brought a lot of winning intangibles along with him. The 6-foot-10 enforcer was a great leader and commanded respect from his teammates, earning him stints with the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans and Cleveland Cavaliers in a career that spanned 14 seasons.

Perkins, 35, spends his time on the mic nowadays, becoming a familiar face on the sidelines and giving his analysis for ESPN and other networks.
