Kenny Smith knows that recently, there have been multiple reports stating that league officials are  trying to find ways to somehow resume the season. Las Vegas has been identified as a possible venue for the remainder of the campaign, and there has been a lot of support towards this objective.

NBA legend and host of TNT's Inside the NBA Kenny Smith has come out with a rather radical proposition on how he thinks the NBA can finish out the season in Vegas.

While truly unprecedented, this actually sounds like a great idea from Kenny Smith. As he mentioned above, we are now living in desperate times, and at this point, it is necessary for NBA commissioner Adam Silver and his people to consider any and all possible options. The entertainment level brought about by this potential knock-out style tournament would be amazing.

The main issue we see here with the Kenny Smith plan is the fact that it gives each and every NBA team an almost equal chance to win the title. Surely, the higher-seeded team will be the favorite in any matchup, but at the end of the day, it will be a matter of a single game — 48 minutes.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently occupy the top spot in the West, and if we were going to base the matchups on current rankings, then they would face off against the Golden State Warriors in the first round. With Stephen Curry back, the Dubs all of a sudden have a tremendous opportunity to upset the Lakers. Kenny Smith can see that this would pretty much nullify everything LeBron James and company have worked so hard for this season. We're not even going to go into the problem of star players having to miss out games due to minor injuries.

This is indeed a very promising idea by Kenny Smith, but there's no denying that it's faulty, at best.
