The only non-NBA Draft storyline that made its rounds through a shocking night of trades, reaches, and gem steals was the offseason tiff between Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.

Bagley took the bait during a conversation with Max Kellerman of ESPN's First Take, who asked him who to pick between himself and Lillard as the best freestyle rapper of the NBA.

Needless to say, the young gun picked the obvious choice.

Yet Kellerman sparked the flame, asking Bagley if he'd ever battle Lillard… and Bagley didn't back down.

As it seems, that didn't prove to be the smartest choice, as Lillard was all ears and quickly went to work in the lab, releasing a diss track for the former rookie.

Lillard's track came around the same time the first round of the draft was underway, which could have gone unnoticed by some who kept their eyes peeled for the 2019 iteration of the NBA's youngest talent.

Fresh off a giant-killing postseason, Lillard's rap game was in playoff form, putting the bar up high for Bagley to match.

Lillard started off strong with a catchy verse:

“The things we do for the glitz and the glamorous

Follow back to like pics from your camera

It's 'bout to pass 'cause you still in a pamper, bruh

And I've never seen Floyd spar with amateurs

So this the one and only time I'm picking up the phone

I'm the type to keep receipts and to be left alone

I was raised to always keep the family feuds at home

On the set I'm 'bout to teach you how to set the tone.”

This was Lillard's response to Bagley's earlier track, which was released earlier on Thursday, but didn't get as much attention.

Needless to say, the choice in background track speaks for itself.
