The NBA is preparing to allow some family members into the Orlando “bubble,” but non-family members will be restricted.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the league will not allow for guests to be permitted on the basis of a casual relationship with a player:

As the NBA prepares for the arrival of team guests into The Bubble for the start of the conference semifinals this month, the league and players association have agreed that non-family members must have “longstanding relationships” with those they're visiting, according to a memo obtained by ESPN.

The NBA and National Basketball Players Association negotiated terms that preclude players from hosting guests who would be deemed as wholly casual in nature, including “known by the player only through social media or an intermediary,” according to the memo.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma had an emphatic response to Wojnarowski's report, quote-tweeting the Senior NBA Insider and saying “SAY IT WITH YOUR CHEST WOJ.”

Jokes aside, Kuzma also elaborated on the opportunity to see friends and family once the playoffs begin. The Lakers youngster stated he “Can't wait” for the arrival of guests.

For what it's worth, Kuzma's girlfriend, model Winnie Harlow, seems to be already preparing to enter the bubble after she posted on Instagram getting a swab test.

Numerous NBA players, notably Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown, have commented on the strangeness of seeing the same people every day and how it has impacted mental health.

However, players and coaches will soon have the opportunity to expand their circles in the bubble, just so long as they have the aforementioned “long-standing” relationship with said person.

In the meantime, Kuzma and the Lakers will have to wait until at least Saturday before they find out who they will face in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
