There's just something about 3-1 series deficits and LeBron James, huh? The (virtual) Los Angeles Lakers star forward took down Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games in a simulated version of the 2020 NBA Finals.

The Lakers won Game 7 in Milwaukee:

It's no surprise the Lakers and Bucks met in the simulated Finals, given both squads were at the top of their respective conferences at the time of the NBA's stoppage of play due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league officially suspended operations on March 11, so it has been two-plus months now without real, physical professional basketball being played.

While NBA stars like James and Lakers co-star Anthony Davis held a private conference call with Antetokounmpo, Chris Paul, Kawhi Leonard, and others about restarting the season, The Brow currently has to settle for winning virtually:

“The Lakers winning the NBA Finals in the 2KSim is really fun,” Davis said, via ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward. “Given the realism of NBA 2K & their past predictions, it’s cool to see our potential get recognized. It makes you excited to get back on the court and try to bring a real ring to Los Angeles!”

Davis was also crowned the simulated Finals MVP, a new “achievement” for the former New Orleans Pelicans All-NBA big man, who was traded to L.A. this past summer in a blockbuster deal with the Lakers:

A Lakers win in the possible 2020 NBA Finals would be redemption for LeBron James. The Lakers failed to make the playoffs in LeBron's first season in Hollywood, the first time he missed the playoffs since 2004-05 — his sophomore season in the NBA. The Lakers haven't made the playoffs since 2012-13.
