Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose racked up 31 points against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, but it simply wasn't enough in the end in a 114-110 loss. Following the game, Lakers shooting guard Josh Hart reacted to Rose's big game.

Though the Timberwolves are struggling to find a rhythm through the early stages of this season, Rose, now 30 years of age, has been playing well. In fact, the former Memphis Tiger dropped 50 points on the Utah Jazz earlier this month.

Rose logged 37 minutes against the Lakers on Wednesday night, scoring 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field (7-of-9 from beyond the arc), five assists and three rebounds. Hart, who recorded 21 points in 21 minutes of action, jokingly noted his disdain for Rose's performance:

Prior to Wednesday's meeting, the Timberwolves had won five straight games against the Lakers. With the loss, the Timberwolves moved to 0-7 on the road this season with their fourth consecutive loss ovearll.

LeBron James led the Lakers in scoring against the Wolves, posting 24 points (nine in the fourth quarter), 10 rebounds and nine assists. Kyle Kuzma added 21 points, six of which came in the closing minutes of the game.

During his postgame media availability, Timberwolves All-Star Jimmy Butler expressed his frustration with the rebounding battle, which the Lakers won, 47-40.

“Very, very frustrating to know we were that close, and all we have to do is rebound the basketball,” Butler told ESPN. “But that's been the story for us so far. We've been right there. We've been outrebounded. We have to figure out a way to go get the ball.”

The Lakers will be back in action on Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. ET, when they'll travel to Sacramento for a matchup against the Kings. Minnesota will face off against the Kings on Friday night at 10:00 p.m. ET.
