Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma “can't wait to see” point guard Isaiah Thomas prove people wrong with the Washington Wizards next season.

Thomas agreed to a one-year deal with the Wizards after spending this past season with the Denver Nuggets. A lot of people don't think Thomas can be an effective NBA player anymore after dealing with the hip issues which have plagued him for the last two years.

Kuzma, though, says he got a good workout in with Thomas and thinks the lefty is going to go off with the Wizards in 2019-20.

As we all know, Isaiah Thomas hasn't been the same player since he suffered a hip injury during the 2017 playoffs. In 2016-17 with the Boston Celtics, Thomas averaged 28.9 points per game and was in the MVP conversation. The hip injury has robbed Thomas of his athleticism and burst. As a result, the two-time All-Star hasn't been able to regain his superstar form.

In 2017-18 with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lakers, Thomas put up 15.2 points. With the Nuggets, IT averaged just 8.1 points and was taken out of the rotation by head coach Michael Malone. With the Wizards, though, Thomas has a great chance to thrive since he's going to get a good amount of minutes. Washington All-Star point guard John Wall could miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from heel and Achilles surgery.
