With Lonzo Ball leaving Big Baller Brand, LaVar Ball has faded into obscurity this season. Once a controversial and yet lovable public figure, LaVar has become somewhat of an afterthought, but that doesn't mean his bold statements have ceased.

LaVar still has big plans for his sons and for his business in general, saying that his sons are going to be some of the richest people on the planet.

“My boys are gonna be the first ones to be billionaires playing on the court. I got other stuff in line to get that,” LaVar told Slam Magazine. “Whatever my boys are playing for on the court, that’ll be chump change. You don’t have guys doing that. One guy gets a championship and next thing you know he wants his own team, bigger contracts.”

That is an awfully big statement to make, as Lonzo is yet to even play a full season, LiAngelo will likely never make the NBA and LaMelo, while a fine prospect, is still very unproven.

Lonzo has actually seemed to distant himself from his father a bit throughout the year, and LaVar's constant public proclamations about his sons may be a reason why.

Of course, Lonzo still has plenty of time to turn his NBA career around, and who knows? Maybe LaMelo will become a fine NBA player, as well, but the idea that LaVar's sons are going to be making more money than any other players in the league is pretty ridiculous, especially given how business savvy a lot of these players are in today's game.
