Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic has the Rookie of the Year award in the bag, at least according to the latest odds by BetOnline.ag.
Ever since his brilliant start to the season, Doncic has been largely considered as the likely winner of the rookie plum. He also swept the Rookie of the Month honors to further establish himself as the best newcomer from the class of 2018.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton are the other two finalists for the award. Luka is at odds of -3000 to win ROY, while Young and Ayton are at a far off +500 and +10000 respectively.

Doncic led all rookies in scoring with 21.2 points per game. He is also second among all rookies in assists (6.0) and third in rebounds (7.8).
Young made a strong case for himself in the second half of the campaign. However, he had a poor start to the 2018-19 season, highlighted by his 27.5 percent shooting from the 3-point line from October to December.
Meanwhile, Ayton has been solid for the Suns. The top overall pick of the 2018 draft was a walking double-double and finished the regular season with averages of 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds. Nonetheless, unlike Doncic and Young, he failed to provide as much impact to his Phoenix team.
