The city of Los Angeles has brought in a new NBA rivalry after the Los Angeles Clippers signed both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George — a move seen as a counter to the Los Angeles Lakers pairing of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

A lot of people are already expecting both teams to meet in the Western Conference Finals because of how good both squads are. NBA legend Magic Johnson is excited to see what will happen next season, and he believes LA has just become the ‘King of Basketball.'

The Lakers have long been the premier brand, not only in the city of LA but in the entire NBA as well. However, the Clippers have slowly but surely turned their fortunes around and, in fact, have been better than the Purple and Gold over the past couple of years. Now that both squads have two megastars leading their 2019-20 campaign, it will be interesting to see how dominant they will be.

Sure enough, there are still a lot of great basketball teams in the Western Conference that have drastically improved during free agency. Still, all eyes are on the match-up between the two LA squads.

Los Angeles fans will be given a constant treat next season, as the city will be represented by two championship-caliber teams. Moreover, those who will watch at Staples Center will have the chance to see either LeBron, AD, Kawhi, and PG on a nightly basis.

That's something good to look forward to!
