Former NBA big man and champion with the Golden State Warriors Marreese Speights says Joakim Noah deserves to be in the NBA.

Noah played 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season. He averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 51.6 percent from the field.

Joakim is 100 percent healthy again after rehabbing his Achilles injury and Speights wants to see his old pal get one more shot in the NBA:

“I really don’t know. I say it to myself, ‘He plays hard, Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star.' But you never know with this League,” Speights told Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy. “Maybe it was some stuff outside of basketball, I never know. But I know he deserves to be in there though.”

Noah worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers after LA lost DeMarcus Cousins to an ACL tear. The Lakers wound up signing Dwight Howard over Noah and Speights, who worked out for the Purple and Gold as well.

Noah, a former All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year, has career NBA averages of 8.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 667 games with the Chicago BullsNew York Knicks and Grizzlies.
