Matt Barnes and his ex-wife Gloria Govan have been in the media before, but with her birthday being on Thursday, Matt Barnes took to Instagram to wish a Happy Birthday to his two kids mother.

That post was nice until his ex-wife noticed it and put her two cents in the post. She said:

“Lmao Matt Barnes, Thank you I think? And yes one can only continue to pray that you take your own advice and learn to peacefully co parent! But until then I'll see you in court next week because you Love a frivolous lawsuit. But hey lets keep co-parenting.”

Barnes then got the last word saying:

“Well…Stealing money my social security # & forging my signature your parents nightclub and house is pretty serious. but hey..I tried! See you in court! Oh & happy bday.”

This isn't the first time that Barnes and Govan have been in the news together for the wrong reason. Govan is now dating Derek Fisher and Barnes hasn't taken that lightly.

According to the New York Post in 2015, Barnes' kids called him to let him know that Fisher was over at their house. Barnes was with the Los Angeles Clippers at the time, and left practice and drove the 95 miles to confront him.

“Barnes went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher,” one source said. “Matt then drove down there to beat the s–t out of him.”

After the incident, Barnes wasn't really afraid to discuss what happened. He texted a friend that:

“I kicked his a– from the back yard to the front room, and spit in her face,” the text read, according to the source.

Barnes has always been known as an enforcer around the NBA, but this time it appears he wasn't trying to do anything mean or attack anyone and at the end of the day, he was still trying to defend himself.
