NBA legend and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan fully supports the players going on strike in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting, per Jackie MacMullan of ESPN.

Three NBA playoff games were postponed on Wednesday after Blake was shot seven times in the back by Wisconsin police this past weekend.

“Right now, listening is better than talking,” Jordan told the group, according to sources.

Jordan has expressed his admiration to current NBA players for taking such a strong stand on racial issues, team sources said.

The 2020 NBA playoffs are expected to continue at some point. Michael Jordan is in favor of continuing the season, as the six-time NBA champion believes games are still the best and most visible platform for social change.

The 2019-20 season has already been one for the history books. The Jacob Blake shooting has thrown yet another hurdle for the higher-ups, but it appears players, coaches and even refs are in favor of completing the 2020 playoffs since it took a lot of work to set up the bubble games and players can be heard from more at Disney World due to the presence of the media.

Since Michael Jordan is so well-respected in the NBA and the only Black majority owner, his voice resonates with everyone. People look toward MJ when difficult decisions need to be made, and he's taking on a leadership role in this situation. The players want to talk with the owners about making changes in society for the better.
