Michael Jordan wasn't the only NBA player on the 1992 Dream Team who didn't want to play with Isiah Thomas, but His Airness is viewed as the main reason Zeke wasn't on the squad that won gold in Barcelona.

During “The Last Dance,” Jordan denied any involvement in Thomas not making the Dream Team. However, MJ once told Jack McCallum on The Dream Team Tapes that if Thomas was on the team, he wouldn't be in Barcelona (h/t Dan Feldman of NBC Sports).

“Rod Thorn called me. I said, ‘Rod, I won’t play if Isiah Thomas is on the team.' He assured me,” the Chicago Bulls great and NBA icon said.

“He said, ‘You know what? Chuck (Charles Barkley) doesn’t want Isiah. So, Isiah is not going to be part of the team.”

Magic Johnson and Larry Bird didn't want Thomas on the Dream Team either. Thomas' Detroit Pistons teams were not loved by anyone outside of Detroit and that affected Isiah's relationship with the other stars in the league, particularly Michael Jordan.

MJ said that Thomas is the second-best point guard in NBA history behind only Magic during the “The Last Dance.” However, it's clear Jordan still hates Isiah to this day.

Jordan will never forgive Thomas and the Pistons for not shaking hands after losing the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals. Moreover, the hard fouls Thomas and the Pistons used to commit on Jordan and Co. threatened the safety of the NBA.

Jordan will forever respect Thomas' game on the court. However, the two Hall of Famers will likely never be friends off the floor.
