The free agency frenzy is over and most of the teams' rosters for next season are set. However, there's still one name in the market that has yet to find a franchise that's willing to sign him; Carmelo Anthony. Much to the dismay of former NBA player and 3-time Slam Dunk contest champion Nate Robinson, who is saddened by his absence in the NBA. In his interview with Ian Begley of SNYTV, he said that it sucks to see Melo without a team, and hopes that one will soon be willing to give him another shot.

“He should be. There's no reason why Melo should be at home. I think that it's unfortunate and it sucks. Because there's so many fans, including myself, of Melo. I love his game, I love what he brings to the game. And I just hope that a team gives him an opportunity to show, really gives him a chance to show that he can still help a team, be a good veteran, come in and get points and just play hard. Just give him a chance, man. I don't think he had a fair shake toward the end.”

Anthony hasn't played in the NBA since November last year. He was shut down by the Houston Rockets nine games into the 2018-19 season because he wasn't a fit for the team. Melo was later traded to the Chicago Bulls, but he never played a game with them.

Melo is one of the greatest scorers in the history of the NBA. But his inability to adapt to the modern style of play in the league, as well as his reluctance to accept a lesser role, is one of the main reasons why no team is willing to risk on him.

There are reports that Anthony is now considering retirement, and if he doesn't end up with a team within the next couple of months, that might just be his best option.
