NBA referee Courtney Kirkland is being tested for the coronavirus after working the Utah Jazz-Toronto Raptors game on Monday, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.

Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have tested positive for the coronavirus:

The New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings game on Wednesday got canceled because Kirkland was one of the refs working the game. The NBA season as a whole has been postponed.

The rest of the season might be over. It's hard to see games being played again unless the outbreak dies down in a drastic manner. The NBA will use the hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Golden State Warriors were actually supposed to host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday at an empty Chase Center. If the NBA didn't cancel the season, the Warriors-Nets game would have easily been the weirdest sports event in history.
