Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse, Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan and Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer are the three finalists for the 2020 NBA Coach of the Year Award.

Budenholzer won the award last season after guiding the Bucks to the best record in the NBA.

Most pundits believe Nurse should win the award this season since the Raptors have the second-best record in the East behind the Bucks and this is after the team lost superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency.

The Raptors also saw veteran shooting guard Danny Green leave the club and join the other team in L.A., the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, we can't ignore the job Donovan has done. The Thunder were picked to miss the playoffs in 2019-20 after the departures of Russell Westbrook and Paul George. Chris Paul used that as fuel and has the Thunder in the NBA playoffs.

While Paul deserves a lot of credit for OKC's success, Donovan's solid coaching has been on display all season.

The Bucks, Thunder and Raptors have all played fairly well down in Orlando, Florida in the NBA restart. Milwaukee and Toronto are title contenders in the East, while Oklahoma City has the potential of reaching the Western Conference Finals if they get on fire.
