Retired NBA point guard and Memphis Grizzlies assistant coach Nick Van Exel is a late bloomer in terms of discovering some of the wonderful variants of coffee. The 47-year-old jut recently came across iced coffee, and as a result, has had an instant love affair with the caffeinated concoction.
This life-changing turn of events for Van Exel has been well-documented via his own Twitter account, where we are all able to witness his conversion into a true iced coffee aficionado.
Van Exel first came across the iced beverage over the weekend, and immediately took to Twitter to announce his groundbreaking discovery:
Had a ice coffee for the first time yesterday. My new drink.

Van Exel seemed to have been so smitten by the drink that he did some additional research on it, eventually coming across its cold brew variety:

That same evening before he finally called it a night, iced coffee was still running through his mind, as he announced his excitement to wake up the following morning to get his caffeine fix:

True enough, the former Los Angeles Lakers guard did not lose sight of his objective the following morning. As a matter of fact, it was probably the first thing on his mind the moment he opened his eyes:
