Nick Young gets trolled by fan in supermarket about D’Angelo Russell

We’re months away form April Fool’s Day but apparently, a few NBA fans aren’t waiting till the spring time to pull out their best pranks. Former NBA champion Nick Young was the latest NBA star who at the receiving end of a hilarious bit referencing D’Angelo Russell.

A fan pulled up to Swaggy P in a grocery store as the former Los Angeles Lakers star was shopping with his kid. The fan greeted Nick Young and jokingly referred to him as Minnesota Timberwolves star D’Angelo Russell, his former teammate.

To be completely fair, it’s hard to recognize people nowadays with everyone wearing their masks but let’s keep it real – this fan was trolling Nick Young hard. Young took the joke like a champ and laughed it out with the fan.

For those of you who don’t know, Nick Young and Russel aren’t really on the best of terms.

Nick Young was part of the Lakers team that drafted Russell as their second overall pick in 2015. The two guards actually had a strong relationship at first but things quickly turned for the worse after a controversial video leaked during the season. The video, which Russell covertly recorded, had Young admitting to his teammate in confidence that he cheated on his former fiancée, pop-star Iggy Azalea. The rookie claimed that he had no idea how the video got out but the chemistry between the two wasn’t the same after the incident. The two parted ways a few seasons after and their relationship hasn’t been the same.

More recently, Nick Young has gone out in public to claim that Russell was his most annoying teammate in his 11-season career in the NBA.
