Nikola Jokic has been playing out of his mind in the Denver Nuggets' second-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Excluding the series opener in which Doc Rivers' team completely shut down the Nuggets, Jokic is averaging 29.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 3.5 3-pointers per game on 56.1 percent shooting from the field and 53.8 percent shooting from 3-land.

The stellar play of Jokic has often brought up questions of comparisons. Who does his play resemble most? Last month, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich called Jokic the “reincarnation of Larry Bird” before also adding that Jokic had some Moses Malone in him as well.

Everyone has their comparisons, and ahead of Game 4 between the Clippers and Nuggets, head coach Doc Rivers was asked for his take on who Nikola Jokic's game resembles most.

“Man … I don't know,” Doc Rivers said, pausing for a few seconds to think. “He's good. I don't know if there's a comparison. He has a little bit of everybody. He has all the footwork and the moves of an Olajuwon, the lanky and goofy, like goofy intelligence of Kevin McHale. Shoot, man, he's just good. He's the best passing big that I've seen, I think, ever. I know Walton was one of them. Man, he's just very good, and he's very frustrating to watch on film.”

These comments come just a day after both Patrick Beverley and Paul George praised Nikola Jokic for his incredibly tough-to-defend style while also taking a jab at him for it.

“Nikola Jokic presents the same type of — I don’t know, I wouldn’t say problems — but he presents the same thing Doncic presents, Luka presents, a lot of flailing,” Patrick Beverley said. “You know, puts a lot of pressure on the referees to make the right call.”

“It’s tough,” Paul George added. “It’s just tough he gets those calls. He throws his body around. You know, it’s tough. Same thing Pat said. He puts the pressure on the refs. Some of those I don’t think are fouls, but he gets it. You know, you just tell Zu, he’s just got to continue to battle. He gets those calls, he gets them. Got to keep it going.”

Everyone's going to have their own ideas for who Nikola Jokic's game resembles. At the end of the day, and his career, Nikola Jokic will likely be a Hall of Famer who will have other players' games compared to him.
