The Denver Nuggets find themselves in familiar territory after dropping Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. For the third straight time in the past few weeks, the Nuggets face a deep 3-1 deficit and are a loss away from being eliminated and heading back home to Mile High City. Something they've acquainted themselves with quite often this post-season.

NBA fans and media reporters had a field day on Twitter to highlight the unique position Denver put themselves in.

Some even seem to suggest that the Nuggets wanted to be down 3-1 against the top-seeded Lakers:

They are called the comeback kids of the NBA for a reason. But if they want to again pull off the impossible, they'd to throw everything against the tough Lakers squad.

Jamal Murray's 32-point performance wasn't enough to grab them a win on Thursday and possibly even out the series against LA. The Lakers mounted an early lead which pushed Denver playing catch-up almost the entire game. Although Denver has shown so far that they can come back successfully come back and win games, LeBron James and Anthony Davis were too much for the Nuggets in Game 4.

Now, the Nuggets are again one loss away from being eliminated in this year's playoffs. But the thing is, they've proven so far that they're more than comfortable being in a 3-1 hole. Given the way they've fought back against the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers, Murray and the rest of the Nuggets might not want to pack their things just yet.

Do the Nuggets have what it takes to make it back-to-back-to-back? We'll have to wait and see. Game 5 tips off on Saturday.
