University of Oklahoma freshman sensation Trae Young will declare for the NBA Draft, according to a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 19-year-old had once of the most spectacular seasons in NCAA history, posting averages of 27.4 points and 8.7 assists per game — leading the nation in both categories.

Young is considered one of the best talents available despite his slight frame at 6-foot-2 and 179 pounds. His court vision, passing flair, and unlimited range make him one of the most dynamic weapons in the college game, but his flamboyant play has raised questions of longevity in a much more physical NBA game.

ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony currently has Young slated as the No. 9 pick of this upcoming draft in his most recent mock draft, though this can very well change, according to the team in need after the NBA Draft Lottery takes place following the end of the NBA season.

Young and his family are slated to start meeting with prospective agents for representation and training for the pre-draft process with a trainer in California, per Wojnarowski.

The 11th-seeded Sooners point man had 28 points and eight assists in a season-ending overtime loss to No. 7 Rhode Island in the first-round of the NCAA tournament last week.

Young has gotten plenty of praise throughout the season as one of the most exciting prospects, drawing comparisons to Stephen Curry coming out of Davidson — though there's also been plenty of hesitation by NBA scouts who think he's not a lottery-worthy talent.
