Ian Clark, who played the last two seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, is headed to China to continue his basketball journey.

According to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, the 24-year-old guard has signed with the CBA team Xinjian Flying Tigers.

Clark spent six seasons in the NBA. He entered the league as an undrafted prospect in 2013 and has played for the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors and Pelicans. He spent two seasons with the Dubs and was part of the 73-win squad as well as the 2017 championship team.

In his NBA career, the Tennesee native averaged 5.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 13.7 minutes per game. He shot 43.9 percent from the field and 34.0 percent from deep.

His best game with the Pelicans came in early this year where he dropped 31 points, including seven 3-pointers. He also had several defensive plays — an innate characteristic of him since his college days.

Clark is just one among many NBA players who have seized opportunities abroad. However, it doesn't mean that fans will never see Clark again in the NBA. After all, he's just 24 years old. With just more years of development, Clark could find his way back to the NBA, just like JR Smith and Michael Beasley among a few.
