Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley made waves on Friday when he put forth an astounding performance on the golf course in a charity event match against Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. Barkley teamed up with golf legend Phil Mickelson, who himself seemed shocked at how his partner performed on Friday.

According to Mickelson, Barkely's tremendous play did not only leave him wide-eyed, but it also left anyone who was tuned in to the match in shock:

Going up against the duo of Curry and NFL great Peyton Manning, Barkley and Mickelson were tabbed as the underdogs entering “The Match 3”. Barkley was considered as the weak link, and despite playing with one of the greatest golfers of all time in Mickelson, the general belief was that Curry and Manning would still come away with the easy victory. Boy were they wrong.

Charles Barkley was amazing from the get-go, and with a bit of help from Mickelson, the pair dominated the matchup all day long. In the end, Barkley and Mickelson were able to easily defeat Curry and Manning 4 and 3.

This matchup was the third installment of “The Match: Champions for Change”, which previously also featured another golfing great in Tiger Woods and former New England Patriots/Current Tampa Bay Rays QB Tom Brady. The charity event was put in place to raise money and awareness for HBCU's around the nation. Needless to say, it has been a smashing success.
