Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse and Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel have been named the Coaches of the Month for November by the NBA.

The Lakers went 17-2 in November, while the Raptors went 14-4.

Vogel, in his first season with the Lakers, appears well on his way to leading the franchise back to the playoffs with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge. Even though the Lakers lost their first game of December on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks, LA is still tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the NBA at 17-3.

After winning the championship last season, Nurse and the Raptors haven't skipped a beat this season despite Kawhi Leonard no longer being on the team. Toronto is 15-4 on the season and continues to be a juggernaut with Pascal Siakam leading the way.

What's more impressive is that the Raptors have been playing without Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka and still have such a great record. It points to how good of a coach and leader Nurse is.

Vogel and the Lakers will look to get back in the win column on Tuesday when they take on the Denver Nuggets on the road. Nurse and the Raptors, meanwhile, take on Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat at home.
