A Redditor ranked the 20 US state rosters based on the players' birth state. Guess which state produced the best players?

Redditor u/tagless1 sorted out, by his words, “the best states in the country by current (last year) active NBA players.” The Redditor didn't use any metric or advanced system to come up with the list. Instead, the Redditor acknowledged that it was purely subjective.

Based on the list, it seems that the state of California seems to have produced the best crop of players. Players born in California include Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, Paul George, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Love.

Next is the state of Ohio, which has produced the likes of Luke Babbitt, Trey Burke, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Jared Sullinger, CJ McCollum, Larry Nance, and Terry Rozier.

Next is Texas: LaMarcus Aldridge, Jimmy Butler, Marcus Smart, DeAndre Jordan, Julius Randle, Justice Winslow, Gerald Green, and Myles Turner.

Followed by Illinois: Patrick Beverley, Anthony Davis, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Jabari Parker, Evan Turner, Iman Shumpert, and Fred VanVleet. Just a note: for those looking for Derrick Rose or Dwyane Wade, the Redditor noted that Rose's injury history and Wade's age excluded them from the list.

And finally, rounding out the top five is New York: Carmelo Anthony, Ande Drummond, Lance Stephenson, Rudy Gay, Taj Gibson, Donovan Mitchell, Tobias Harris, and Kemba Walker.

Do you agree with the rankings and the respective players in it?
